A New Friend

Recently, Elaine met a quadriplegic that lives near her. Her new friend also had been injured in an automobile accident years ago. In addition to her paralysis, Elaine’s friend has to be on a ventilator. However that issue does not prevent the two from connecting.

Elaine and her comrade have been able to visit recently at a local restaurant and in each other’s homes. We are so blessed that Elaine is ventilator-free. Regardless of what condition someone endures, one can find others in even greater need. Elaine’s new friend expresses her gratitude to God despite her many challenges.

Don, Elaine’s husband, has also been able to connect with the spouse of Elaine’s friend. As devoted caregivers for their wives, both men can identify well with one another.

We are grateful for this new connection which came through one of Elaine’s faithful volunteers. God truly puts people together who may encourage one another!

About Our Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Solace Through Suffering

Our Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Solace Through Suffering shares the true story about a sudden family tragedy. As author of the book to be published in the summer of 2014, the true account tells of my sister being rear ended by a drunk driver. She barely survives the high speed crash being left to live as a quadriplegic. Written from a brother's perspective, the manuscript shares the heartfelt story of ongoing physical and emotional pain experienced by both victim and family. Only through God's grace can a family survive such a tragedy!
