Call to Deeper Prayer

Recently, I felt impressed to begin regular telephone prayers with Elaine in between personal visits. Tonight, Connie, Elaine and I joined together to pray. With increasing challenges facing my sister and her husband, I sensed that we must strengthen our prayer communion together. Tonight we began our petitions in praise to the Father for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. God truly inhabits the praises of His people. His presence certainly enhanced our prayer time tonight.

Tomorrow night at our regular in-home prayer group, we plan to have Elaine on speaker phone for the body of Christ to lift her up as well. We must never underestimate the power of prayer especially in battling spiritual warfare. The demons shudder in the presence of God, and prayer draws us closer to the Father.

If you are in great peril and distress, rev up both personal and corporate prayer times. Look expectantly for the hand of God to move in new ways as you commune together in prayer.  The experience certainly has been spiritually refreshing for us.

About Our Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Solace Through Suffering

Our Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Solace Through Suffering shares the true story about a sudden family tragedy. As author of the book to be published in the summer of 2014, the true account tells of my sister being rear ended by a drunk driver. She barely survives the high speed crash being left to live as a quadriplegic. Written from a brother's perspective, the manuscript shares the heartfelt story of ongoing physical and emotional pain experienced by both victim and family. Only through God's grace can a family survive such a tragedy!
