God’s Word as the Chosen Weapon in Battle

After a heavy week of warfare, God brought Connie and me to a critical spiritual posture. In the midst of multiple hardships, we experienced how the Word exposes and opposes the enemy. In crying out to the Lord, we pray and claim the truths of the Scriptures to the very detriment of satanic advances.

Here is a good way to engage in spiritual warfare. Choose a book of the Bible, perhaps Psalms. Read and pray aloud simultaneously, and personally claim its promises. In doing so, repentance and instruction both follow. In the darkest of battles, nothing can substitute for the Word of God as its eternal truths promise hope and encouragement.

In your battle just now, take up the Sword of Truth, the Holy Bible, and boldly march forward. Walk in covenant through enemy lines alongside the presence of the Father. In doing so, victory is assured as God faithfully defends and sustains His children.

About Our Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Solace Through Suffering

Our Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Solace Through Suffering shares the true story about a sudden family tragedy. As author of the book to be published in the summer of 2014, the true account tells of my sister being rear ended by a drunk driver. She barely survives the high speed crash being left to live as a quadriplegic. Written from a brother's perspective, the manuscript shares the heartfelt story of ongoing physical and emotional pain experienced by both victim and family. Only through God's grace can a family survive such a tragedy!
