Prayer’s Power to Transcend Life’s Circumstances

Last evening in our home prayer group, I spiritually challenged us. After hearing of hurting needs, I encouraged us to venture beyond our earthly circumstances with prayers transcending our human condition.

In the meeting, God faithfully showed up. Through praise to the Father with vocal confession and repentance, we felt the Father’s grace, peace and presence here. New year breakthroughs are imminent with sincere pleas lifted before our God through heartfelt praise and true repentance.

With a focus on the Father rather than upon our circumstances, His people can go spiritually deeper through the power of prayer. The Apostle Paul certainly proclaimed one’s ability to live above life’s devastating events in stating he could endure all things through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:11-13). Perhaps the difficult circumstances continue for a season; yet our God-filled attitude toward them can catapult our earthly complaints into faith-filled living through His awesome power and grace.

About Our Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Solace Through Suffering

Our Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Solace Through Suffering shares the true story about a sudden family tragedy. As author of the book to be published in the summer of 2014, the true account tells of my sister being rear ended by a drunk driver. She barely survives the high speed crash being left to live as a quadriplegic. Written from a brother's perspective, the manuscript shares the heartfelt story of ongoing physical and emotional pain experienced by both victim and family. Only through God's grace can a family survive such a tragedy!
