Ponder having to be hoisted from bed to wheelchair and wheelchair to bed daily. Ponder enduring chronic pain in your arms that subsides very little. Ponder the inability to even turn over in your bed at night to get comfortable. Ponder sleepless nights where you long for the night to end. Ponder life with medicinal side effects that further impair you. Ponder no longer having access to enjoying a leisurely neighborhood walk or to go on vacation. Ponder having to be fed and cared for void of the ability to care for yourself. Ponder on depending upon your spouse and others to do everything for you. Ponder bearing emotional pain for your spouse’s exhaustion in giving you devoted, constant care. Ponder the people who have ceased calling and visiting because they are either too busy or cannot bear to see your suffering. Ponder praying to God, the Father, thanking Him for all the multiple blessings of health, and then faithfully die to grudges and petty complaints.

About Our Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Solace Through Suffering

Our Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Solace Through Suffering shares the true story about a sudden family tragedy. As author of the book to be published in the summer of 2014, the true account tells of my sister being rear ended by a drunk driver. She barely survives the high speed crash being left to live as a quadriplegic. Written from a brother's perspective, the manuscript shares the heartfelt story of ongoing physical and emotional pain experienced by both victim and family. Only through God's grace can a family survive such a tragedy!
