In receiving word yesterday that a publisher has accepted my book for publication, a host of emotions follow. First, after diligently seeking a publisher, excitement reigns regarding the manuscript finally being put into production for God’s purposes. Second, hopes for its content helping other families encourages me. Third, sharing such challenging details about our journey prompts me personally to live out this tragedy with both grace and fortitude.
It takes His grace to live out crises successfully. One cannot be graceful through one’s own efforts and inner strength. Grace cannot abound apart from God’s intervening love and care. It takes His grace to put aside bitterness, resentment, discouragement, questionings and move faithfully forward each day in His strength. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
After nearly a year and a half of searching for a publisher, I thank God for His opening this door with the help of a godly book agent. I ask God to use this book to bring spiritual solace to those hurting people looking for hope along their own journey. I desire that God bring glory to Himself in the book with readers seeking out an intimate relationship with Him–the only true solace for broken people.
