Sameness & Changeless

I visited Elaine a few days ago. For the most part, she is doing about the same. How we have prayed for more progress in her disability!

Coping with “sameness” in all our lives can be a battle. We so want to see positive changes and improvements in life’s circumstances. The lack of seeing the fore-mentioned can be both emotionally and spiritually exhausting.

Yet in all the desire for positive change, God is changeless. He promises to walk with us through the valleys and atop the mountains. He sees our quiet tears and aching hearts. His Holy Spirit comforts us in despair. He, through His Son, Jesus, says, “I love you,” even when our faith is faltering.

Thank You, Lord, that Your promises remind us that You are changeless in our sameness. You are the same yesterday, today and forever. Your steadiness amidst our wobbly knees gives us eternal hope as we silently wait upon You.

About Our Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Solace Through Suffering

Our Dark Night of the Soul: Finding Solace Through Suffering shares the true story about a sudden family tragedy. As author of the book to be published in the summer of 2014, the true account tells of my sister being rear ended by a drunk driver. She barely survives the high speed crash being left to live as a quadriplegic. Written from a brother's perspective, the manuscript shares the heartfelt story of ongoing physical and emotional pain experienced by both victim and family. Only through God's grace can a family survive such a tragedy!
